Snoop Dogg is Opening a Bored Ape NFT Themed Restaurant
Snoop Dogg has joined forces with Food Fighters (a firm based in Los Angeles) to build a dessert restaurant. Food Fighters is owned by Phillip Huynh, Andy Nguyen, and Kevin Seo. They also have another Los Angeles based fast food joint (Bored & Hungry) which was launched based on the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT. Snoop Dogg has named the Bored Ape Yacht Club character for this restaurant to be Dr. Bombay. The restaurant’s name will be Dr. Bombay’s Sweet Exploration.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC)
The Bored Ape Yacht Club is a popular Ethereum NFT collection consisting of 10 000 bored apes cartoon characters. It has bought in more than $2.1 million while trading on the NFT market. BAYC grants NFT holders the ability to monetize their photographs. In the past, BAYC has been used on different products like clothes, virtual band ventures, beer, etc.
This Snoop Dogg upcoming restaurant is not built by Yuga Labs, but Snoop has a legal right to use his own NFT image on it. This is because an NFT serves as a right to show true ownership of a digital asset, like the ape in Snoop’s case. The digital picture of the ape shows the rightful owner of the NFT. The design of the upcoming restaurant will be based on Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFTs and Bored Ape decor and branding. Food Fighters’ aim is to launch its NFT that can be beneficial to its community.
